Final Post

So here is my absolute final post! It's quite sad to think that this year of media is finally over, I've had so much fun with not just the people in my group but with all of the the girls in the rest of the class too! We've had some good laughs, many involving small insects, singing old chart toppers to get us through the editing stress or just sitting back and watching a film to help us relax. It's starting to feel like we're a large family, of sorts, and it's sad when I realise that not everyone will choose to take media again next year. I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Miss Foster for all of her help and guidance throughout the year, without her offering all of her 'constructive critisism' I don't think we'd be where we are today! As a group we've gone for a very bumpy ride to say the least. However, I don't think I'd change Khadija or Eleanor for the world, even through all of our creative differences we've still managed to come out as close as we were at the beginning of the course, if not closer!

Whole group vlog, wow!

Finally a vlog with all three of us, yes! I'm not entirely sure why we did this vlog though, we just thought we'd better have one all together. Anyway moving on, we're just talking about the things we need to sort out in order to start filming. Excuse the part where I talk about the cancer research building, I'd obviously had too much coffee...

Concept vlog

So we've finally come up with our concept!

Mac 3 Pitch

Last lesson we had a discussion with Miss Foster about the concept for our film opening. As you can see we haven't quite come up with the concept, we have lots of different ideas that all sort of tie in together but we have absolutely no idea how we could make a film of any length out of them! Hopefully we'll be taking a rather intense trip to Starbucks tomorrow so we can get it all sorted out. I think we need to redo our concept vlog once we've fully decided what we're doing, obviously there are a lot of changes to be made!

Fifth Vlog!

Finally we have a vlog with Elena in it! Miss Foster was ill today so we decided to go out and practice filming some of our ideas, we were going to try a tracking shot of me walking so that we could see what it looked like in reverse, but my skateboard was making the camera a bit shaky so unfortunately we had to ditch that plan. Instead we filmed a bit of a 'fight' scene to see what it would look like in reverse, this just resulted in me throwing Elena to the floor several times while getting some very strange looks from passers by, oops!

Fourth vlog, Wales

Prepare for the exotic location vlog in sunny... Wales. I've come to the conclusion that I really need to stop starting a vlog with a cheesy "Hey" or "It's me", because who else would it be? Force of habit I guess! It was a bit windy as you can hear, but a great experience, luckily it was a nice day!

Second Vlog!

Vlog number two, oh the embarrassment once again!

Sophie's first vlog

This is my first vlog, yay... (not)

So filming my vlog was probably one of the most stressful things I've done all week. You would not believe how long it took me to find an adequate piece of technology in my house that you can film on, as my laptop webcam was pretty bad quality! I settled for my camera even though the sound quality, and I seem to be lacking a tripod, so ten carefully balanced books and boxes had to make do... I found it really embarrassing making the vlog by myself, and my parents probably think I'm going a bit mad, hopefully I don't end up on some form of medication!

This is how I felt after my vlogging experience, I now need to go and lie down in a darkened room...
